As I began to research our family history I had hoped I would discover that our ancestors took an active role in the Revolution and founding of the nation. I would not be disappointed as these connections were very quickly established. What follows is a list of ancestors who either fought in the revolution in a military role or participated in the fight behind the scenes in a political capacity.
