Circa 1950 photo of Annie (Kressman) Nicholas and her second husband Elmer Nicholas. Elmer was the brother of Annie's first husband Stewart Nicholas. Elmer's first wife was a 1st cousin to Annie. In both cases the first spouses died young.

The sons of Elmer and Laura (Kressman) Nicholas taken about 1920 at an unknown location. They are left to right W. Orville, J. Marcus, E. Montford, and D. Raymond Nicholas. After Laura died Elmer married her 1st cousin Annie Kressman and they had another son J. Earl Nicholas. Earl was a 1st cousin to my grandmother Mabel (Nicholas) Kunsman. Earl would marry Grace Eichlin who shares a common ancestry with my wife.

Circa 1925 photo of Mabel (Nicholas) Kunsman. This is one of my favorite pictures. I'm not sure which child she is holding but I suspect it is Mae Kunsman. She is standing on what is now Valley View Road in Williams Township right in front of their farm. This road is paved today with lots of new houses along it's entire length. The original farm is still there though no longer commercially farmed and not very well kept.

Another great circa 1920 photo this one includes Sabina (Unangst) Kunsman and her daughter Stella Kunsman. I do not know who the other two women are. If you can help ID them please e-mail me. The original photo was taken on a tilt. I was tempted to level it out and crop it but would have risked cutting out the dead goose next to Sabina. Guess what was for dinner that night?

Pluma (Brotzman) Ball and daughter Susan taken March 16, 1971 at an unknown location. Pluma is the daughter of Archibald and Stella (Kunsman) Brotzman. Archibald would die young and Stella, who is pictured in several photos above, would re-marry to Aaron Hinkel.

Circa 1925 photo of S. Linford Nicholas taken at the Williams Township home of Floyd Kunsman. He appears to be in some type of military uniform though his obituary makes no mention of military service. Perhaps it is the uniform of one of the many civic organizations Linford belonged to. He is the son of Stewart Lazarus and Annie (Kressman) Nicholas.

This is probably John P. Kunsman's home. It was located behind the Kunsman Store and Gristmill at Kunsman's Corner in Lower Saucon.
