Clicking on the links above will open an Adobe .pdf file showing a descendant tree chart for the individual named. If you do not have the Adobe Reader software click the logo below to download it. The reader software is free and widely used on both the internet and in business. Once installed it will work automatically with your browser. Here are some tips for working with the trees:
- All birth years have been removed for anyone aged 80 or younger as of the date the report was created (in the upper right corner of the chart).
- If you have trouble viewing data at the transition between pages (screen jumps from one page to the next without showing the transition) clcik on the continuous page buttton on the Adobe Reader toolbar. It may be at the top or bottom of your reader screen. The button looks like this:
- If the chart says "see children above" it means the parents have a common ancestor in that chart, the parents are related. The names of the children will be further up the chart where the parents will be listed again in reverse order. Typically it is such a distant relationship that the couple never had a clue they were related.
- The charts are fully searchable within the reader software. With the chart open press 'Ctrl' and 'f' at the same time to launch the search tool. Type in the name you are looking for and press enter.
- Use the Zoom In and Zoom Out feature to get a better visual sense for your position in the chart and your relationship to others in the chart.
- I have included 3 separate Raub family trees here. I believe Hans and Peter were brothers though nobody knows their relationship for certain. Most researchers agree they are related. Dr. John Raub is a descendant of the Raubsville, PA Raub family. He is likely a grandson or great grandson to Hans Jerg or Peter Raub.
